        Accountability

Throughout the DPT program, I have developed a strong sense of accountability. I have taken active responsibility for my learning, constantly seeking feedback from instructors and peers to improve my skills. This is particularly evident in my clinical placements, where I consistently strive to meet patient goals and adhere to professional ethical standards. I plan on continuing this growth by maintaining a commitment to ongoing self-assessment and seeking continuous improvement in all aspects of my practice.

        Altruism

In the DPT program, I have honed my ability to prioritize the needs of my patients, which has greatly enhanced my practice. I consistently strive to go beyond the expected standards of care, tailoring interventions to meet the unique needs of each patient. This is especially relevant in my work with underserved populations and those requiring specialized care. Moving forward, I plan on further developing this core value by seeking opportunities to provide pro bono services and work with underrepresented communities in my practice.

        Collaboration

        Strongest Area of Growth

Collaboration has been a core component of my development, particularly through my clinical rotations and group projects. I’ve learned to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care. Through active listening, respect for diverse professional roles, and clear communication, I’ve seen how collaboration can improve patient outcomes. This value has become one of my strongest, and I plan on continuing to foster these skills by actively seeking collaborative opportunities in my post-graduate practice.

        Compassion and Caring

The DPT program has also helped me to better understand and embrace the psychosocial aspects of care. I’ve become more attuned to the emotional, social, and psychological influences on patients' health and well-being, recognizing that healing is a holistic process. I’ve learned to effectively communicate with patients, providing not only physical rehabilitation but also emotional support. In my first year post-graduation, I aim to refine these skills by creating a more empathetic approach tailored to individual patient needs and learning how to better address diverse learning styles in patient education.

        Excellence

One of the most notable areas of growth has been in the pursuit of excellence. The DPT program emphasized the importance of continuous learning and staying current with evidence-based practices. I've focused on integrating the latest research into my clinical decision-making, ensuring that my interventions are based on the best available evidence. Moving forward, I plan to enhance my professional development by attending conferences and engaging in continuing education to stay at the forefront of the field.

      • Core Value for Post-Graduation Development:

        Social Responsibilty

To foster growth in this area, I plan to:

Engage in advocacy efforts by participating in organizations that support healthcare policy changes, particularly those that improve access to physical therapy for underserved populations.

Volunteer for community health initiatives that focus on increasing access to rehabilitation services.

Stay informed on healthcare policies that affect physical therapy and the broader healthcare system, ensuring I can be an active voice in shaping future policies.
